Job Purpose: 

The Audit Manager (Business Audit) independently performs and manages business audits across all entities and lines of business in the AZAP region, drives audit regionalisation projects, and supports entities in reaching Technical and Customer Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Involve in auditing business areas, in addition to in-depth knowledge and experience in several business areas
• Plans and executes business audits; leads and coaches audit teams and leads discussions with auditees and senior management during audit kick-off and closing meetings; drives the preparation of closing meeting presentations and final audit reports including management feedback.
• Coordinates regional audits performed by local audit teams, provides technical advice, drafts regional reports aggregating local results
• Drives regional harmonisation projects including obtaining the buy-in of local heads of audit and documentation of the regional policies and procedures
• Relationship manager for 3 to 4 entities in the region, providing support on audit-related questions and quality assurance oversight through regular touch points
• Along with the regional Head of Audit, performs quality assessment reviews on local audit teams and monitors the development in assigned OEs
• Assists in regional risk assessment activities
• Takes on a regional champion role such as Data Analytics or Agile Auditing champion, coaching entities and coordinating initiatives across the region

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree,  preferably in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, or management.
• Relevant certifications, for example, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Public Accountant, would be an added advantage.
• 5-7 years (for AM) and 7-10 years (for Manager) of internal/external audit experience,  preferably in the financial institution sector. Prior experience in insurance will be an advantage.
• Technically strong and able to independently lead/perform audits in many audit areas

The Audit Manager is responsible to Performing audits in the Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP) region and be the data analytics champion.

You'll be responsible for:

• Audit managers are responsible for the planning and the execution of audits. They are also expected to lead closing meetings with auditees and senior management, including finalisation of audit report with management feedback.
• As managers, they are expected to lead and guide the audit team during audits and in the execution of projects relating to the regional harmonisation of the internal audit function.
• The role would also include defining and the roll-out of regional harmonisation initiatives (including the adoption of best practices), supporting Chief Audit Executive (CAEs) on audit-related questions, and performing quality assurance reviews on local audit teams and monitoring the development in the assigned operating entity (OEs).
• They are also expected to be in charge of the Regional Data Analytics projects.

Requirements

  5-10 years of experience in the financial institution sector (preferably insurance)
  With relevant internal/external audit experience in the industry will also be considered.
• Relevant certifications, e.g., CIA, CISA, or CISSP would be an added advantage.
• The role includes approximately 20% travel within Asia Pacific. As such, other than English, fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or Thai will be an added advantage.

Performing IT and Operational audits in the AZAP region.

Key Responsibilities:

• The IT Auditor is responsible for the planning and execution of audits in IT and Operational.
• The IT Auditor is expected to perform audits independently and ensure everything has been properly documented.
• In addition to providing the audit results to the auditee, he/she supports/leads closing meetings with auditees and senior management, writes audit reports, and checks if the recommendations are implemented in the follow-up process.

Key Requirements: 

Must Have

Job Purpose
To conduct financial, operational, project and systems audits in any area of the Group in accordance with Internal Audit Plan approved by Board Audit and Risk Committee (BARC)

Duties and Responsibilities
1. To assist the Head and Manager of Internal Audit in developing an annual audit plan covering the whole system of internal control based on the Group's significant business processes and specific areas of management's concerns

2. To perform internal audit review and ad-hoc assignment

• To perform internal audit review in accordance with the annual plan approved by the BARC

3. Establish and maintaining comprehensive audit programs

• To develop and execute a comprehensive audit program that is responsive to the operational, financial and control risks within the Group

4. Finalization of the audit issues and recommendations for reporting to Board Audit and Risk Committee

• To discuss findings and recommendations with management
• Solicit feedback from auditee or management on any issues raised during the audit

5. Prepare BARC papers and audit reports within stipulated timeframe

• To prepare independent internal audit reports on risk management, compliance and operational control of auditable units to the BARC
• To submit the audit report to Manager or Head of Internal Audit within stipulated timeframe

6. Conduct a follow up review and monitor on the implementation

• To follow-up on audit findings and recommendations with management to ensure that internal control gaps identified have been effectively addressed

7. To assist the Head and Manager of Internal Audit on the administration of the Internal Audit Department

• Ensure proper audit documentation maintained
• Completion of admin matters within stipulated timeframe
• Assist in budgeting process, training and development and other administrative matters

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting or Finance or any other related fields and/or professional qualification
