1. Midnight Runners
Ki Joon (Park Seo Joon) and Hee Yeol (Kang Ha Neul) are new students at the Korean National Police University. They are not the best students, but they are sincere when it matters. They decide to go out one evening. But towards the end of their night, they witness a young woman being kidnapped. Ki Joon and Hee Yeol try to get the police involved, but they meet apathy and bureaucracy. The two police cadets decide to save the young woman’s life before it’s too late. An action-packed romp with lots of laughs, Midnight Runners is a 2017 action comedy film directed by Jason Kim.
2. The Divine Fury
When he was a child, Yong Hoo’s (Park Seo Joon) father died in an accident. So, Yong Hoo has distrusted and resented people since then. Now, Yong Hoo is champion in martial arts. He meets Priest An (Ahn Sung Ki). Priest An is also an exorcist. They get involved in a case and must fight a powerful evil. A thrilling supernatural battle of good versus evil, The Divine Fury is a 2019 action horror film directed by Kim Joo Hwan.
3. Miss and Mrs Cops
Mi Young (Ra Mi Ran) was once a legendary detective. After she married, Mi Young began working in the public service center at a police station. Ji Hye (Lee Sung Kyung) is a rookie detective. She causes trouble and gets assigned to work in the same public service center. So, Mi Young and Ji Hye begin investigating a criminal case. A movie that centers around burning passion for justice, Miss and Mrs Cops is a 2019 action comedy film directed by Jung Da Won.
4. Luck-Key
Hyung Wook (Yu Hae Jin) is a contract killer with a 100% success rate. One day, he goes to a public bathhouse and slips on a bar of soap. Paramedics, including Ri-Na (Jo Yoon Hee), take him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Jae Sung (Lee Joon) is a struggling actor who does not have any money. He decides to kill himself, but he first wants to clean himself up, so he goes to a public bathhouse. There, he notices Hyung Wook who is dressed well and wears an expensive watch. When Hyung Wook slips on the bar of soap, Jae Sung walks over and, on the spur of the moment, switches locker keys with him.
When Hyung Wook wakes up at the hospital, he can’t remember anything about himself. He doesn’t even know his own name. From the items gathered from his locker at the bathhouse, he learns that his name is Jae Sung. With the help of Ri Na he is able to go to his shabby apartment. The two men adjust to their new lives.
Luck-Key is an action comedy movie came out in 2016 directed by Lee Gye Byeok.
5. Confidential Assignment
Im Chul Ryung (Hyun Bin) is an officer of a special investigation team in North Korea. His team goes to a disturbance at a warehouse that prints counterfeit money. Im Chul Ryung’s superior Cha Ki Sung (Kim Ju Hyeok) and his own team are there to steal the master plates to print the counterfeit money. A shootout takes place and, in the process, Im Chul Ryung is shot and others killed.
North Korean officials later learn that Cha Ki Sung has fled to South Korea. Im Chul Ryung is ordered to capture Cha Ki Sung and retrieve the stolen master plates. So, he is given only 3 days to complete his mission. For the first time, South Korea and North Korea decide to cooperate in order to catch a criminal. South Korean officials though have doubts whether Cha Ki Sung is really a killer. Detective Kang Jin Tae (Yu Hae Jin) from Seoul is ordered to watch over Im Chul Ryung tightly while he is in South Korea.
Released in 2017, directed by Kim Sung Hoon, Confidential Assignment is an action movie packed with drama and laughs needed to ease the tension.
