JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a cardiologist to join our team and work with patients to provide thorough cardiovascular services and treatments. Furthermore, this position is responsible for testing, diagnosing and treating our patients if needed.
Moreover, a cardiologist’s responsibilities may include working directly with patients to understand their needs and conduct tests per patient’s request. In addition, the cardiologist must have knowledge on how to use medical imaging equipment such as a CT and MRI scanners.
Ultimately, you will work directly with patients while also working alongside other medical experts and surgeons to address any cardiovascular disorders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tests on patients to check for any abnormalities
- Interpret tests results to determine how the heart and the cardiovascular system is functioning
- Use medical imaging equipment such as a CT and MRI scanners to diagnose and treat any cardiovascular conditions
- Assist and perform surgery which may include complex surgical interventions that require a team of experts
- Prescribe medication to treat cardiovascular diseases
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Proven work experience as a cardiologist or any similar role
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure patients receive proper care
- Outstanding hand-eye coordination to conduct surgical procedures
- Good manners to deliver great patient care
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise with patients
- A Bachelor’s degree in biology and medical sciences whereas a Doctor of Medicine (MD) is required
SALARY RANGE
The monthly salary range for a cardiologist is RM13,900 to RM26,100.
