Responsibilities
- Manage account balances to identify outstanding obligations and other anomalies.
- Gather all data required to compute accounts receivable (order quantities, discount rates, etc.).
- Check the data entered into the accounting system to guarantee the final bill’s accuracy.
- Send invoices and bills to customers via various channels (mail, email, etc.).
- Issue customer account statements periodically or as needed
- Accept various forms of payment (cash, online payments, etc.) and verify their legitimacy.
- Send payment reminders and make assigned customer contact.
- Update accounting records to reflect new payments, balances, customer data, etc.
- Answer concerns and handle complaints regarding billing from customers.
- Report on activity to senior administration
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as an invoicing clerk or accounting knowledge in general
- Compliance with statutes and confidentiality policies
- Competent in MS Office (particularly Excel); working knowledge of pertinent software (e.g. Quickbooks) is a plus.
- Superior accounting skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Outstanding communication abilities
- High school diploma; additional education is a benefit.
Salary Range
The average monthly salary for Billing Clerk jobs in Malaysia ranges from RM 1,800 to RM 2,200.
