Posted by Khairul Aming, a well-known entrepreneur and social media influencer, won the major award, Creator of the Year, at the TikTok Awards Malaysia 2023 last night.
Khairul Aming, whose real name is Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, beat out five other challengers, including Sally, who is known for her TikTok account (sallywhoo), Boss James (bossjames_eo), Lawyer Gandhi (lawyerghandi), Auntie Purple (auntiepurple248), and Ceddy (ceddyyornot).
The business owner from Kelantan said that the win was the best thing that had happened to him in the eight years he had been making material in this country.
“This is the first time I have won an award, and because of that, I cried when I gave a speech after being announced as the winner.
“Alhamdulillah, this award is for the hard work of producing social media content. For eight years, I have faced challenges and come up with new ideas and ways to be relevant.
“Thank you to the voters and those who have supported me for the past eight years. Because of them, I am here today,” he said.

The TikTok Awards Malaysia took place last night at the International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC).
This is the first time local content creators are celebrated with an award ceremony in the country.
Celebrities like Izzue Islam, Sherry Alhadad, and Amelia Henderson spoke at the event, which was set up in a fun way.
Famous entertainers like Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Dolla, Marsha Milan, Ernie Zakri, and many others also performed at the awards.
