Part of Sekeping retreats, Sekeping Tenggiri is tucked in Bangsar’s suburb and is just a 15 minutes walk from Bangsar Village and hip restaurants and cafes on Jalan Telawi. M Boutique Hotel

Play tourist and take the ETS via KL Sentral to Ipoh or road trip it. M Boutique Hotel has three major themes running through the hotel’s urban vintage style: The Adventure theme, The Majestic theme and The Excelsior theme, all separated by levels and room types. Rosa Malacca

You’d want to ‘gram every nook of this lifestyle boutique hotel for sure! A cross between industrial and cosy interior, the hotel is filled with brick walls, wood layered floors, hipster-y furniture and soft lighting. The courtyard is definitely the highlight of the hotel so make sure you make it a point to have a drink or two there. Rosa Malacca is located about 10 minutes away from some of Malacca’s key attractions including Sam Po Kong temple and you can beca (trishaw) your way around instead of exploring on foot.

23 LoveLane Hotel

At one glance, this hotel looks like a regular large house with high walls and a fancy gate. What makes it special? 23 Love Lane is a 10 room boutique heritage hotel situated in the heart of George Town and it boasts a rich and colourful history in its architectural design; dating back to the beginning of the 1800s. Besides the uniquely decorated rooms, the lounge areas also carry a certain je ne sais quo which makes them so inviting, you’d want to curl up reading a book on one of their couches the entire day. As for F&B, they’ve got a restaurant adjacent to the hotel called SteakFrites@23 and they serve a mean steak; some Penangites may say the best in town.

Ren i Tang

A restored shophouse, Ren i Tang is a heritage inn with 17 rooms in total. The rooms are located sparingly to occupy the first and second floors and they have rooms ranging from studio flats with a kitchenette, family rooms, soaking tub rooms (ah, bliss!), and the standard loft rooms to choose from.
