Responsibilities
- Using a phone directory to make cold calls to promote products or solicit donations
- Respond to incoming inquiries from prospective clients.
- Utilize scripts to provide information about a product’s features, prices, etc., and to describe its advantages.
- Ask pertinent inquiries to comprehend the customer’s needs.
- Persuade the customer to purchase by illustrating how the product or service meets their requirements.
- Accurately record the customer’s personal information in a computer system.
- Handle complaints and doubts to protect the company’s reputation.
- Go the “extra mile” to achieve sales quota and to facilitate future sales.
- Keep track of contacts and sales and document pertinent information.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven track record as a telemarketer or in a comparable sales/customer service role.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales mandates, preferably via telephone.
- Knowledge of pertinent computer applications (CRM software) and telephone systems.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
- Competent in English
- Capable of negotiating and handling complaints

- Patient and able to deal with customer refusal
- SPM
- A degree is a plus.
Salary Range
The average monthly salary for Telemarketer jobs in Malaysia ranges from RM 2,300 to RM 3,500.
