JOB BRIEF
We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated oncologist to help with cancer diagnosis and treatment and looking after our patients.
Furthermore, one of an oncologist’s responsibilities includes counselling patients on their treatment options, overseeing cancer treatment plans and if necessary, giving patients radiation therapy.
Therefore, in order to succeed as an oncologist, you should have compassion for patients who might be suffering with challenging diagnosis.
To properly care for our patients, you must be informed in your industry and possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Most importantly, you will collaborate with patients and their families to identify and treat various cancers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Treat patients with radiation therapy such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Assist patients with pain management such as medications
- Perform surgical operations to remove tumours and determine whether cancer has spread
- Execute basic administrative and clerical tasks such as keeping patients’ records, write prescriptions, provide cancer information to patients and monitor treatment plans
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Proven work experience as an oncologist or any similar role
- A thorough and up-to-date working knowledge on cancer and cancer treatment options
- Technical skills to operate medical equipment and tools related to cancer treatment
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Relevant training and certifications as an specialist
SALARY RANGE
The salary range for an oncologist is between RM 10,000 to RM 17,000.
