Jeon So Min had been a popular staple on Running Man for six years, so the 37-year-old actress and the production team had given the decision significant consideration.

“We have concluded now is the time for her to take some time to refresh herself.” the agency said, adding she would take the opportunity to focus more on acting, among other things.
“We had talked over ways to keep her for a long time, but decided to respect her decision,” the program’s network SBS said.
Jeon So Min made her acting debut in an MBC TV show in 2004. In “Princess Aurora,” which she starred in for the first time in 2013, she earned the channel’s Best New Actress Award.
In April 2017, she became a part of Running Man. She took up three awards as a cast member: the Rookie Award at the 2017 SBS Entertainment Awards, the Top Excellence Award from Variety in 2018, and the Golden Content Award in 2020.
