The World Happiness Report, released an annual study which ranks countries based on their “happiness” threshold and Malaysia is 55th on the ranking.
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network released the 2023 report list on 20 March in conjunction of International Day of Happiness.
With a point of 6.012, Malaysia was found to be the 55th happiest country in the world. This puts it in the upper middle rank of all the countries.
There is significant progress since the 2022 iteration of the same study, where back then Malaysia got the 70th ranking overall.
The whole study was made easier to understand by breaking it down into six different factors that accounted for each spot on the list.
